Qualifications
I hold a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been registered to practice in the State of Washington since 1998.
Experience
I have experience working with individuals, couples, adolescents and children as well as with families. I have organized anger management groups for adults and adolescents as well as groups for parenting.
Areas of Specialty
My primary focus of practice is with families and couples. I also work with individuals who are struggling with relationship problems, depression and anxiety. I understand that people have to deal with many different kinds of stress leading to difficulties in their personal lives as well as in their relationships. I am skilled at working with clients in helping them to find a healthier, more successful life.
Trust
You will experience a safe, non-judgmental environment where feelings can be expressed and bond of trust established. I am a family systems therapist and approach therapy with a view of family of origin issues. The modalities I practice from are a variety of solution focused, cognitive behavioral and narrative therapy.
Length of Therapy
Only the client knows when it is time to stop therapy. I trust the individual to tell me when that time happens.
Cost
My normal fee is $80 per hour. I offer a sliding fee for individuals who have less income.
